An InterContinental hotel opened recently in Foshan, famous in China for its local opera, ceramics and the promotion of martial arts.
Located in the Guangdong Financial High-Tech Service zone in Nanhai, the 450-room property overlooks the Qiandeng Lake. Less than 30 minutes away is the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Canton Fair) and 40 minutes away is Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
Among its facilities are six meeting rooms and a pillarless ballroom for 640 persons, banquet style, designed to allow natural lighting and a view of the waterway. Club InterContinental for corporates occupies level 36 to 38, offering buffet breakfast, Happy Hour refreshments and butler service.
