Eaton Hotels International diversifies its portfolio with three new brands – Eaton Luxe, Eaton Smart and Eaton House featuring a “green” theme.
“Properties selected to partner with Eaton Hotels International will be guided step-by-step to achieve Best Practice levels in the Green Globe’s Earthcheck environmental performance indicators,” said John Dick, vice-president, Eaton Hotels International.
“Guests want to go green but it rarely translates to their hotel choice. Our aim is to make this part of the decision simple. There’s nothing extra to pay for going green but they will achieve peace of mind knowing they are staying in a property where sustainable practices are a core pillar of the operation.”
All three brands will feature properties built using environmentally friendly construction materials and adopting energy-efficient and sustainable design techniques.
Top-of-the-line Eaton Luxe will have between 200 and 500 spacious rooms and suites with meeting facilities, the E Club (Eaton’s executive-level stay product), business centre, fitness centre, unique dining experiences, 24-hour in-room dining and a spa.
Eaton Smart is aimed at corporate travellers looking for more cost-effective stays, while extended-stay guests will find an Eaton House apartment with an equipped kitchen, wireless internet, ample workspace and onsite laundry and other amenities.
Eaton expects to roll out these products early next year, focusing on locations in China, India and Thailand. No further details were given at press time, but Business Traveller understands that its first Eaton Luxe hotel has been planned in China for the second quarter of 2010.
