Hilton Hotels has opened its third Doubletree hotel in China, in Qingdao. The 320-room Doubletree by Hilton Qingdao/Chengyang is located 9km from Qingdao Liuting International airport, in the Chengyang district of the city.
The hotel has events facilities designed to cater for up to 750 people, including a ballroom, hall and meeting rooms of various sizes, as well as an Executive lounge for guests staying on the Executive floor. Wifi internet access is available in all public spaces.
Bedooms feature high-speed internet access and LCD televisions, while leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, gym and squash court, as well as a driving range.
There are also three restaurants and bars – the Riverside Cafe serving an international buffet, the Harbour Seafood restaurant serving fish cooked in typical Shandong and Guangdong style, and the Han Jiang Korean restaurant. Guests can also use the rooms next to the Harbour Seafood restaurant for small meetings.
Martin Rinck, president for Hilton Hotels Corporation Asia-Pacific, said: “The contemporary style, quality and versatility of the Doubletree by Hilton brand are proving to be popular features among travellers in China, and this latest addition will enhance our portfolio of Hilton hotels in the country, while symbolising our commitment to further expanding our presence across the Hilton Family of Hotels in Asia.”
Hilton also opened a Doubletree hotel in the UK earlier this year, in Chester (see online news March 10). For a review of the Doubletree by Hilton Milan click here.
