Luton airport has postponed plans for a £1 drop-off fee, according to a report on the Daily Telegraph's website.
The airport had been due to implement the charge on April 29 (see online news April 4), but the Telegraph’s report says that this has now been put on hold until further notice.
A spokesperson is quoted as saying that “there is no fixed date for it, we will advise passengers in due course”, adding that “nothing has been set in stone”.
When businesstraveller.com conducted a survey of our visitors last month, 87.5 per cent of respondents said they were against the introduction of the charge (see online news April 19).
