Jet2 launches loyalty scheme

20 Nov 2008 by Mark Caswell

Leeds-based low-cost carrier Jet2 has launched a loyalty scheme allowing members to redeem points against free flights.

MyJet2 rewards members with one point for every £1 spent on flights (including taxes and charges such as baggage fees and specific seat selection). These can then be used to redeem flights, with redemptions starting from 600 points for one-way flights within zone 1, and 1,200 points for flights within zone 2 – click here for a map of destinations falling into each zone.

Members booking tickets on behalf of other passengers will also earn points for these purchases (even if they are not travelling within the party), up to a maximum of nine passengers. You cannot earn points on your membership if you are travelling on another person’s booking, and group booking of over ten people do not qualify for points.

It’s also worth noting that redemptions only cover the base fare of the ticket (not the taxes and charges), although payment for these charges on redemption tickets will earn the member further points at the normal rate. Points have a validity period of two years from the date of booking.
