Jurys Inn to open Sheffield property

21 Nov 2008 by Mark Caswell

Jurys Inns will open its latest hotel in Sheffield in January, a 259-room property which will become the largest hotel in the city.

Jurys Inn Sheffield will open on January 16 in the city centre. Located on Eyre Street, the three-star hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station and the main tourist attractions.

The hotel’s 259 rooms have all been designed “with style and comfort in mind” and are fitted with wifi and flatscreen TVs.

Dining options include the Innfusion restaurant, which offers “value-for-money” dinner and breakfast options, and the more casual Inntro Bar where guests can pick up sandwiches, light dishes and drinks. Il Barista will have pastries and coffee to go.

Features for the business traveller include nine meeting rooms, with the largest theatre-style room able to cater for up to 100 people.

Rates at the hotel, the chain’s 24th property in the UK and Ireland, start at £59 mid-week and £49 at the weekends.

Jurys Inn Sheffield is the first in a row of planned openings for 2009 and 2010, with new hotels set to launch in Watford, Exeter, Derby and Cardiff. For a review of the recently-opened Jurys Inn Liverpool, see the November issue of Business Traveller.
