The Ascott Group finally establishes its premier brand in the Gulf region with the opening of Ascott Bahrain.
Targeting a 2011 debut, the 200-unit property will be part of Raffles City Bahrain, an integrated lifestyle development facing Bahrain Bay. It comprises three towers, landscaped sky villas, high-end retail and leisure facilities.
Singapore-based CapitaLand Group is behind the project and also owns the serviced residence chain.
Ascott Bahrain, the conglomerate’s fourth serviced residence in the Gulf area, was preceded by Somerset Al Fateh Manama also in the capital city, Somerset West Bay Doha in Qatar and Somerset Jadaf Dubai in the UAE.
The Ascott recently won the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific’s Best Serviced Residence Brand in Asia-Pacific award for 2008.
