Crowne Plaza launches business traveller "Think Tank" campaign

11 Sep 2007 by Mark Caswell

Crowne Plaza-The CityIntercontinental's Crowne Plaza brand has launched a "Think Tank" campaign, aimed at offering travellers practical business advice and inspiration. The campaign includes a series of free events being held at hotels across Europe, with the first taking place at the Crowne Plaza London – The City on September 24.

The evenings are being hosted by what the brand refers to as "The Crown Plaza Mavericks", business leaders selected for their "fresh, forward-thinking approach and subsequent success in their field of business". The London event will be hosted by Carl Honoré, author and founder of the "Slow Movement" philosophy, a concept which teaches people to strike a balance between fast and slow, evaluate their lifestyles, and make their business and leisure time more productive.

Subsequent events will take place in Hamburg (October 11), Brussels (October 17) and Rome (November 7), each hosted by a different maverick. Those interested in going to the Slow Movement London evening can register for a pair of tickets (including, wait for it, slow-cooked food and sloe gin cocktails) at crowneplazathinktank.com, a site which will also feature tips and advice from the mavericks, as well as news about the forthcoming events.
