I would definitely try Lufthansa’s new 747-8 in business class at least one way. I just flew it from Frankfurt to LAX 2 weeks ago seated on the upper deck and it was a great, vastly improved product. New lie-flat seats were comfortable, the entertainment system was awesome and even the catering seemed much better than my flight from LAX to Munich on a A340-600 a couple weeks earlier.
