excessbaggageParticipantVery clever – nice use of social media with the inclusion of your own street in the video.

surreytravellerParticipantAgree it’s clever, but I presume it uses google street view as if you live on a private road you just get a blank white screen saying no image available!

Tete_de_cuveeParticipantYes, white windows with “no image available” then just the junction. Its a Google limitation which shouldn’t take anything away from a great idea well executed.

LuganoPirateParticipantNice add, very clever, but anyone read the lyrics to London Calling? Not sure it’s really appropriate for an airline?
London calling to the faraway towns
Now that war is declared-and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, all you boys and girls
London calling, now don’t look at us
All that phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain’t got no swing
‘Cept for the ring of that truncheon thingCHORUS
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Engines stop running and the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
London is drowning-and I live by the riverLondon calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, an’ go it alone
London calling upon the zombies of death
Quit holding out-and draw another breath
London calling-and I don’t wanna shout
But when we were talking-I saw you nodding out
London calling, see we ain’t got no highs
Except for that one with the yellowy eyesCHORUS
Now get this
London calling, yeah, I was there, too
An’ you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
After all this, won’t you give me a smile?I never felt so much a’ like

FormerlyDoSParticipantHi Lugano
Not the first time that BA and ‘London Callinf’have been associated.

Although the clip above does not show it, the song was used as the background music for part of Bond’s return from Cuba to LHR in ‘Die Another Day.’

RichHI1ParticipantShows BA planes and shows London, so I get the 2012 Olympics thing but I don’t get the commercial. “don’t fly”?
Maybe it is too deep for me.
At any rate it is a step up from the two previous spots and very entertaining to watch. Would love to see the A&P ROI on this campaign.
EDIT Seen this on PC now and I notice the local street attempt. On Iphone I did not get that hence my confusion on the comments.

IanFromHKGParticipantSuperb – and it seems as though my mother’s house has its own unique postcode, as the clip showed only her house and no others in the street! Spooky…
As to “Don’t fly” – well, it could just be a patriotic message, but I suspect it is rather because they are terrified of the ensuing bedlam at UK airports over the next few weeks and are trying to persuade as many people as possible to stay at home! I hope I am being overly cynical, though…
