FormerlyDoSParticipantUnbelievable, but true.
I am sitting in a lounge somewhere in LHR, having had a major performance clearing security, because an airline issued my boarding pass to another person, who has gone airside with no record of him on any of the flights to my destination.
I’ve even seen the guys photo, at the security post, when the operative asked me to look and just confirm it wasn’t me (didn’t look anything like me, IMHO.)
Doesn’t give you a warm fuzzy feeling, does it?

VintageKrugParticipantCan’t be BA or he’d have already been calling for Willie Walsh’s head on a stick!

I am not going to reveal terminal or airline for reasons that are obvious to a 5 year old, but apparently not you.

You will be reassured to know that the other passenger was intercepted at the gate.

Okay, you’ve given away the airline, as only BA operates UK domestic flights.
But I won’t say whether it is T1 or 5.

I don’t think I need to do anything at all, judging by the phone conversations I overhead whilst they were trying to sort it out.
Once through security (was escorted by a security officer) it was then just a matter of quietly approaching the gate staff, who had been briefed, to establish who I was and then they handled it very professionally and smoothly, although I don;t want to say how.
