So far Lufthansa has not informed the UK media about these two routes.

But they are now displayed on Lufthansa.com

I am sure one, if not both, destinations will be of interest.

Both are seasonal routes which make use of unused Lufthansa’s unused weekend slots.

Salzburg starts on December 23. Flights operate on Saturday and Sunday.

Friedrichshafen launches on December 16. Flights operate on Saturday.

I believe it’s the first time Lufthansa has flown non-stop to both destinations from the UK.

    Salzburg is well known.

Not so well known is Friedrichsfen on Lake Constance. It might appeal to aviation fans as Friedrichshafen is the home of the Zeppelin.

AFAIK this is also the first time that Lufthansa (as opposed to one of their subsidiaries) are offering flights that do not touch Germany.

JC_Flyer: True. But Salzburg isn’t. This, to my knowledge, makes LHR-SZG the first LH route that doesn’t touch Germany.
