Last month we reported that Hi Fly would soon be retiring its one and only A380.

Hi Fly to phase out A380 superjumbo

The final flight will be tomorrow.

This A380 was one of the original super jumbos and first delivered to SIA. As you can see from the video released today the interior remains unchanged … including the SIA first class suites.

To whom is Hi-Fly returning the Airbus A380? The Airbus plant in Toulouse? What are they going to do with it? What about converting them to freighters? Although it is such a waste of resources.

Doric Aviation has always been the owner of this aircraft even when operated by Singapore airlines and the aircraft will be returned to them on expiration of the current lease.

This A380 is one of the early A380s delivered to SIA.

I believe it’s some 14 years ago so at least it’s had a longer life than the ones retired by Air France.

The Hi-Fly A380 was already converted for cargo operation as you will see in the video above.

Its final commercial flight was taking PPE from Seoul and Shanghai to Hamburg a few days ago.

Emirates is using some of its A380 to carry cargo as Mark Caswell reported.

Emirates using A380 aircraft as “mini freighters”
