`Being judged by other cultures according to their cultural viewpoint that you dont share is also ignorant.`

I think your logic got a little twisted Craig. The reason the Muslims are outraged is because a film that they find abhorrent was released in the USA, thus inviting their response. I understand that an expat Egyptian may have financed the film, so what his motives where (if this is true) are unclear.

I don´t like that response one little bit, there is no justification for physical violence and murder, but if the film had not been released, there would have been no response.

How many films have the Muslims released that denigrate Christianity?

I take it from the rest of your post, that you do not have a great deal of experience of Islamic countries?

Very noticeable in T4 on Thursday morning. Long delays and eventually switched from fast track queue to another one which was much better. No. of staff not sufficient to deal with extra number of bags being checked.

Let’s face it, Islam is a fascist religion and they don’t accept criticism.

We should be thankful we still live in a tolerant society with the right of free speech, because that will probably come to an end when Britain has a majority Muslim population. With an average birth rate roughly triple that of the indigenous population, and ever increasing immigration, it will eventually happen – the only argument is when.

A Muslim friend of mine, who is very moderate by the way, is fearful of the future as well because he knows first hand what most of his community are like. Until we are prepared to take decisive action we will have to suffer ever increasing security, restrictions on freedoms and stricter laws.

No trouble at all in T1 this morning, admittedly early; about seven of the lanes open, no queues and through in two minutes; wasn’t even Fast Track (if there was one, I didn’t see it!).

Probably best to leave an extra ten minutes, and be doubly sure to extract liquids and laptops (and belts and shoes with metallic strips) so as not to delay others. A lovely day for flying!

    @bucksnet

Your point is well made. Apologies that this thread is now off topic from airport security.

Our ‘tolerant society’ has not woken up to the fact that within the next 50 years, parts of the ‘West’ will fall to an Islamic majority & sharia law.

Politicians & ‘the West’ need to awake from their slumber.

Islam certainly does not tolerate criticism.

    @bullfrog

Thank you, but I think it’s directly related to airport security as it’s the main reason it gets ever tighter.

I agree with your 50 years timeline in Britain, but with around half of new born babies in Belgium being Muslim, it will be a lot sooner there.

The west needs to wake from its slumber, but the politicians know what they are doing!

Bucksnet – for whatever God’s sake you believe in, get real and don’t promulgate the sort of rubbish presented at http://www.knightscrusaders.com/Knights_Crusaders/Inside_the_Global_Jihad.html
and other similar sites on what is a serious business travel site. That is why most of us visit this site.

Does anyone else have first hand experience of Heathrow security this weekend, or are we going to veer onto a David Icke-fest once again…?

Tom, I am getting real. If you don’t understand exponential growth and other serious issues affecting the country, then please read up on them.

As for attacking me, please note that Bullfrog and others make similar comments that happen to be factually accurate, so why am I singled out? And I’m not interested in your link above, or any David Icke ‘fest’ thank you.

Security affects business travel, and I did not start this topic or push it in a certain direction.

`Security affects business travel, and I did not start this topic or push it in a certain direction.`

Fair comment, Bucksnet, a poster made an idiotic comment about the film being nothing to get upset about, which just totally misses the point of the implications of living in a global village, where actions have consequences in our own backyards and impacts business travel by causing uncertainty (how long will security checks take, will I miss my connection etc.)

Now that same poster criticizes you for making comments he considers ´David icke´like.

I would ignore him, if I were you, it is obvious who is connected to the real world and who isn´t.

Sorry, Bucksnet but your bizarre use of statistics about Belgium, where just 6% of the population are Muslim, undermines whatever credible case you may be trying to make. I included that link because these data are featured there.

    Thanks Bruce.

Tom, first of all I didn’t research the figures, I was told by someone. Maybe I should do so before posting, however the figure you refer to is wrong and doesn’t take into account the huge numbers of illegals.

Also, it seems you still don’t understand the much higher birth rate problem, which would mean that new born babies exceed their parents as a percentage of their age group. If 6% of the population are responsible for a much higher percentage of births, then they must have a high birth rate.

The fact remains that Belgium will probably have a Muslim majority population before Britain.

I am extremely lucky in my life to have benefitted intelectually, not from reading books and attending lectures— BUT from travelling to most corners of the globe. Meeting rich and poor (very poor in wealth but not poor in richness of giving). Political hues from Minsk to Minnesota, my christianed church of scotland sunday school beliefs are now shaped into my personal integrity, due to socialising with Buddists, Jews,Muslims. Sikhs,Hindu’s and importantly the spirtual beliefs of native west coast nations!

In all my years of travel I’ve always had to endure an invasion of privacy because of the intolerance of others and their skewed and selfish- ignorant and importantly insecure in their own self integrity and breakdown of their their own humanity!

Today its Islamists-not long ago it was the Irish-further back it was Palestians and further back before I was born Jews. In 10 years time it could be mad Missisipians!!

What concerns me about this new security measure is the 1 in 5 rule. Surely they have to be more clever than that! If they are not happy with any bag- it gets checked!! This sounds more like a tick box exercise!

This makes me feel less confident in screening than I was before! And its about time airlines restricted hand luggage to manageable allowances!

I would also like to add this. Choosing to live in a country that has certain communities ( both) that thrive in their own self-indulgence and limit their intellect due to fear of understanding anothers right to self.

I disagree with you Tom. I find that if you ignore stupid rantings the rant becomes so comical it becomes an irrelevance and the power of the message evaporates!

Unfortunately, as long as I’m alive my life will be blighted with long security, immigration and petty legislation because of the excesses of others!
