You’re welcome. By the way, if you’re flying from Muscat on an airline other than Oman Air, you may be interested to know a new lounge recently opened:

Yes, I saw that.
Is it the same lounge space BA and Swiss used to use? The hard furnishings/divider thingies look remarkably similar?
Hi,
I would skip the lounge (7hours must be a nightmare there!) and have a break on the beach close to the Hyatt, enjoying a lunch/dinner ar Ubhar http://www.ubharoman.com. Down to earth and exquisite food!
Thank you all for your comments which have been useful, particularly the links posted by BusinessTravellerMiddleEast. My stopover is during the day. Having seen Muscat, albeit a few years ago, I guess I will take a chance with the lounge hoping that I might still be able to get out if I change my mind after a couple of hours.
You could try the newly opened Oman Air Majan Lounge at Muscat Airport. The ambience and the services are perfect for you to relax if you have a long-layover. The cost to access the Majan lounge is RO 12 ($32 USD), or if you have Silver or Gold Sindbad Card you can access this lounge for free. Please read more about the lounge here https://www.omanair.com/wy/about-us/media-center/press-releases-2012/oman-air-inaugurates-majan-lounge.
If you want to spend some time exploring Muscat, I’d suggest heading down to Muthra and check-out the Souq. However, if you’re arriving on Friday the Souq will be closed until the late afternoon. Furthermore, if you’re travelling into Muscat on any day other than a Friday, you could visit the Grand Mosque.
Hope this helps.
