I’m wondering are LH plotting to use their brand and fleet elsewhere, having established the routes that BD are now operating on behalf of them. BD hasn’t had a sense of direction for a while so maybe LH’s new tactics could work. Slowly get people used to the BD crews/craft then hand the route over completely to BD and turning them into a semi full service airline, or even fully fledged again!
Recently BD also took on SN and LX flights too, so it maybe a return to intra-European flights from the regions by a quasi-full service airline – bearing in mind that BD are offering LH service. It could also lead into a soft transition into M&M for DC members as more using these routes might transition to M&M for bonus points etc.
