Like many on here I have a number of accounts with various airlines and alliances. I recently celebrated a birthday and was frankly inundated with happy birthday messages from almost everyone of them. BA sent nothing

You seem pleased. Why are you pleased by a computer generated message?
I would rather be told to “p*** off” by someone who means it than be told to “Have a nice day!” by somebody who doesn’t.
