BA and Virgin Atlantic suspend London-Tel Aviv

    Ask, I guess call centres do not have sufficient authority to discuss this with you. That said, if BA lists flights from November 22nd, Swiss for instance announced it won’t happen before December. The latter position seems more realistic to me.

    Well, having written yesterday that BA refused to allow me to cancel my flight due on the 26th without penalty, BA emailed me this morning to cancel😉.

    I have been offered (and accepted) a full refund AND a reimbursement of any relevant extra costs because of the short (less than 14 days) notice.

    I have now re-booked something else and cancelled all my ancillary costs (hotels, airport car park and car hire) without any penalty. A win. They have actually cancelled all TLV flights for another two weeks. I do wonder why they left my cancellation until a day after the two-week deadline in the regulations.
