Still slightly off-topic (but I don’t know where else to post this), I previously complained about the cursory way that BA dumped us in St Lucia, with a badly worded SMS, after we had checked in to return to the UK, into LGW two weeks ago today.
Well the upshot of our 2-days delayed return to London (and going to LHR rather than the original LGW, where my car was parked) was my reimbursement of expenses – 2 nights in a hotel at over £200 per night, and all our meals in full (not restricted to the measly £50 a couple per day in the rules). Our transfer from LHR to LGW was free, paid for by BA.
The money was in my bank account this morning, just 8 days after I sent in my claim to BA.
Well done BA.
