
Business Traveller tries to report on as many of the new hotel openings worldwide as we can, but it’s not always possible to dedicate a whole news story to each and every one.
So here we round-up some of the new properties which have been unveiled this month. We’ll aim to keep this updated throughout the month, and then start a new feature for February, and so on.

Schloss Roxburghe

Situated close to the market town of Kelso, around an hour from both Edinburgh and Newcastle, the 102-room resort has gone through an extensive transformation, with the addition of a spa, 58 new rooms and suites, and 12 classically designed Scottish cottages. It is now operating under the Destination by Hyatt brand.
Sofitel Xiong'an

This 512-room hotel is located within the Xiong’an Business Service Center, surrounded by the Xiong’an Jiaoye Park, Yuerong Park and Baiyangdian Lake. Facilities include all day dining restaurant Kwee Zeen, and Mediterranean-Chinese eatery La Maison.
Dhawa Ihuru

Part of the Banyan Tree Group, this all-suite Maldives property has recently rebranded from the previous Angsana Ihuru, following the addition of new facilities including social hub Nest, all-day dining restaurant Nook, and Nectar for Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Maldivian and Western cuisine.
Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan

The 149-room Crowne Plaza property is located a 25-minute drive from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and features the 26th floor Latin American fine steak lounge The Beast, as well as a rooftop swimming pool.
Tru by Hilton Monterrey Fundidora

The first Tru by Hilton property in Mexico is situated in the country’s third largest city of Monterrey, and features 120 rooms, a complimentary breakfast bar, Eat and Sip market and a fitness centre.
Mercure Cairns

A multi-million dollar upgrade of the former Ibis Styles Cairns has seen the 75-room property rebranded as Mercure Cairns, with features including ground-floor restaurant The Stanley with outdoor dining space.
Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach

This oceanfront property marks the debut of the Andaz brand in Thailand, with features including 204 rooms, suites, and villas starting from 50 sqm, as well as six restaurants and bars, and three outdoor swimming pools.
Hilton Motif Seattle

Not strictly speaking a new hotel, but this 319-room property in Seattle’s downtown has recently been reflagged under the Hilton brand, and features Frolik Kitchen and Cocktails rooftop restaurant and bar.
Hyatt Place Hangzhou International Airport

The 472-room hotel is situated in the airport terminal with direct access to the departure and arrival halls via indoor walkways, and features all day dining restaurant The Kitchen, as well as a fitness centre and 245 sqm of events space.
Iceland Parliament Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

As the name suggests the 163-room Iceland Parliament Hotel is located next to the country’s Alþingi or parliament building, and features Hja Joni Restaurant serving local cuisine, and a spa with traditional Icelandic geothermal hot tubs, sauna and steam baths.
Firstname Bordeaux
Located on Rue Claude Bonnier in France’s southwestern port city of Bordeaux, the 147-room Firstname Bordeaux is part of Hyatt’s independent JDV brand, and features Le Bada restaurant and bar, the Speakeasy “secret bar”, and a fitness centre spread over two floors.
Conrad Singapore Orchard

The former Regent Singapore became the Conrad Singapore Orchard at the start of 2023, and is set to undergo “extensive room refurbishments”. The property features ten restaurants and bars, including Manhattan, Basilico and Summer Palace, as well as a fitness centre and more than 1,600 sqm of events space.
Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House
The hotel is housed within a building which was once the historic family home of Scottish Naval Officer and polar explorer Archibald McMurdo, and now features 61 rooms, a restaurant and bar (pictured at the top of this article), and a flexible event space accommodating up to 60 guests.
Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote

Located in Costa Teguise with views of the Atlantic Ocean, Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote features 225 guest suites with terraces, as well as four swimming pools and a wellness centre with gym and spa.
The Ned Doha
Housed within a building designed by Lebanese architect William Sednaoui, which was formerly home to the former Ministry of the Interior, The Ned Doha hotel and members’ club features 91 rooms, seven restaurants, a health club and spa, fitness centre and a 30-metre outdoor pool.
AC Hotel by Marriott Suzhou

Situated in the city’s historic Gusu District, the 135-room AC Hotel by Marriott Suzhou features all day dining restaurant AC Kitchen, as well as a fitness centre and 50 sqm multi-functional events space.
Movenpick Resort and Spa Fruske Terme
Situated on the edge of Serbia’s oldest national park, Movenpick Resort and Spa Fruske Terme features 201 rooms, a restaurant and bar, and a wellness centre offering a total of 11 pools and 12 sauna and steam baths.
Hilton Santa Marta

This 261-room new-build hotel overlooks the Caribbean Sea in the Colombian city of Santa Marta, and features Nuggu Restaurant and Bar, Sinkunu rooftop lounge and bar, and a forthcoming spa with six treatment rooms.
Moxy Dortmund City and Residence Inn by Marriott Dortmund City
The dual-branded property comprises a 190-room Moxy hotel and 120-suite Residence Inn, with shared facilities including a fitness centre and the all day dining Residence Inn Bistro.
