Akasa Air has enhanced its pet-travel service, Pets on Akasa, by increasing the in-cabin weight limit for pets from 7 kg to 10 kg (including the container) based on customer feedback. Additionally, the validity of travel certificates for pets has been extended from three days to 15 days, offering more flexibility for short-term travellers. Since launching Pets on Akasa in November 2022, the airline has successfully transported over 3,200 pets, highlighting its commitment to improving customer experiences.

As part of the enhancements, Akasa Air provides complimentary value-added services for pet travellers, including pre-booked window seats, priority baggage delivery, and priority boarding. The airline has invested in extensive research and training across its customer care, airport, and in-flight teams to ensure the highest standards of care and safety. Partnering with Umeed for Animals Foundation, Akasa Air continuously works to enhance pet comfort and safety through best practices and policies.
