In its first-ever airport location, globally celebrated pastry brand L’Éclair de Genie is opening in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. Opened in parthership with Lagardère Travel Retail and acclaimed French pastry chef, Christophe Adam, the café promises to bring passengers travelling through the airport a range of exquisitely-crafted fine pastries, including their famous eclairs – which have been described as some of the world’s best – as well as various viennoiseries and macarons that are crafted freshly each day. It will also be serving a selection of specialty coffees and organic teas, as well as a savoury menu featuring fresh salads, sandwiches, and naan wraps.

The cafe’s new airport location marks a strategic and special milestone. Chef Christophe Adam, founder of L’Éclair de Génie, said: “Dubai is a city dear to my heart. It makes sense in the development of L’Éclair de Génie to set up once again in this large and dynamic city. For the past 10 years I have dreamed of having a Travel Retail presence in an airport. L’Éclair de Génie has now opened its doors at DXB, one of the world’s biggest air hubs. I’m absolutely delighted!

Chef Christophe Adam is celebrated for revolutionising the traditional French éclair. His innovative creations feature vibrant colours and are delicately finished with the finest details, with creative and classic flavour pairings alike such as citrus zesty lemon yuzu, or decadent salted caramel and Mexican chocolate. The new outlet will bring a touch of elegant Parisian flair to the heart of DXB’s Terminal 3, and its treats can be enjoyed in the café or be easily packaged for an onward journey in gift-worthy wrappings. They will also be serving seasonal treats, starting with a Ramadan éclair collection.

Vadim Motlik, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail UAE, said, “We are thrilled to have partnered with Chef Christophe Adam [to] bring this much-loved French brand to DXB, L’Éclair de Génie is a place where travellers can relax and indulge some of the world’s finest éclair and pastries, whilst immersing themselves in an ambiance reminiscent of the Parisian original. This new addition adds another touch of gourmet luxury to DXB, further emphasising our dedication to continuously elevate the traveler’s experience. Our goal was to bring this innovative concept to DXB and make it accessible to passengers from across the globe, underpinning our continued commitment to deliver unique and memorable experiences.”
