From July, Bangkok-based Star Alliance member Thai Airways International (THAI) plans to resume its flights to Milan Malpensa and Oslo Gardermoen, respectively.
Starting 1 July, the flag carrier plans to resume daily service between Bangkok and Malpensa with two-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, while Oslo will see daily service on the airline’s dual-class 777-300ER aircraft.
The flights to Milan will depart Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport each night at 0040 for a 0735 arrival. They return at 1405 for a 0555 arrival into the Thai capital the following morning.
THAI’s Oslo service will depart Bangkok at 0055 and arrive in the Norwegian capital at 0725. The return flights leave Oslo at 1415 and land back in Bangkok at 0615 the next morning.
The THAI 787-9s deployed to Milan will seat 30 passengers in 1-2-1 configured lie-flat business class and 268 in 3-3-3 configured economy class.
In the interim, the THAI 777-300ERs rostered to Oslo will seat 42 passengers in 1-2-1 business class and 306 in 3-3-3 economy class.
THAI recently confirmed the addition of two A330-300 to its fleet, as well as an incremental 787-9 Dreamliner and various A350-900 aircraft.
This winter, THAI is operating flights to 51 destinations, including double daily flights to London’s Heathrow, Frankfurt and Melbourne.
The airline’s long-haul routes with daily flights this winter comprise Copenhagen; Stockholm; Munich; Istanbul; Paris; Zurich; and Sydney.
