British Airways has unveiled the latest phase of its Avios-Only flights initiative, where select flights are only bookable through Avios redemptions.

The carrier first launched the service in April this year, initially with routes from Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh and Heathrow to Geneva, which it said sold out within 24 hours.

This was followed up by a second round of flights to destinations including Las Palmas, Lanzarote, Tenerifeand Nice.

The third phase sees more than 1,250 Avios-Only seats released for flights from London City and Heathrow to destinations including Florence, Mallorca, Faro, Corfu and Ibiza, with all travel periods falling over the August 2024 Bank Holiday.

The table below shows outbound and inbound flight dates, and the starting from Avios rates in both Euro Traveller and Club Europe.

As stated above, the first phase of Avios-Only flights sold out very quickly, so readers are advised to book quickly if they want to take advantage of this.

And a reminder that British Airways moved to its new spend-based system of Avios-earning from 18 October.

From that date members will collect up to nine Avios per £1 spent, depending on their tier status, as well as earning Avios on ancillary purchases such as upgrades and pre-paid seat selection.
