Starting October 30, 2023, Qatar Airways will increase frequency to New York (JFK) from two to three daily flights.

The airline said that the new flights would arrive early morning at JFK and depart late evening from there to return to Doha.

The two existing daily flights from Doha to New York are QR701 and QR705.

QR701 departs from Doha at 8.15am and lands at JFK at 3.015pm. It then leaves from JFK (as QR702) at 8.20pm before landing in Doha at 4.45pm the following day.

QR705 meanwhile leaves Doha daily at 3.30pm and arrives at JFK at 10.20pm the same day, before then leaving New York (as QR704) at 10.15am and arriving in Doha at 6.40am the next day.

Starting October 30, the new flight’s schedule is such that QR703 will depart from Doha at 01:25am and arrive in JFK at 8.15am. It will then leave from JFK (as QR706) at 1.20am and land in Doha at 9.45pm the same day.

Qatar Airways serves key destinations in the US including Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Washington DC (IAD).

Customers from the US will benefit from the enhanced connectivity between JetBlue and Qatar Airways via New York. The three flights will therefore have connections from locations including Detroit, Raleigh-Durham, Orlando or Tampa, to Doha, Kathmandu, Bangkok or Johannesburg. Members of both loyalty programmes – Qatar Airways Privilege Club and JetBlue TrueBlue – can earn miles from each other’s codeshare flights.

Qatar Airways also has a partnership in place with American Airlines, with American Airlines launching flights from its Philadelphia hub to Doha starting October 28, 2023. American Airlines’ new Philadelphia-Doha services will provide customers seamless connectivity to more than 90 cities across North America, Caribbean and Central America, and to more than 80 cities across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

Owing to the codeshare expansion between Alaska Airlines and Qatar Airways, over the coming weeks, guests will be able to book more destinations beyond Doha on Alaska Airlines’ website.
