American Airlines has announced plans for new and resumed routes to European destinations next summer.
The carrier will launch daily seasonal flights from Philadelphia to Nice on 5 May, 2024, followed by Copenhagen on 1 June, and Naples on 5 June.
There are currently no nonstop routes from Philadelphia to any of these European cities.
In addition AA will launch a new daily seasonal route from Dallas Fort Worth to Barcelona on 1 June – again there are currently no nonstop flights on the route.
Finally the airline will resume daily flights between Chicago and Venice for the first time since the onset of Covid-19, complementing its existing service between Philadelphia and the Italian city.
In total American will operate 67 daily flights between 11 US cities and 17 European destinations during peak summer 2024, up from the 64 this summer.

These will include daily services to Copenhagen, Lisbon, Milan Malpensa, Munich, Naples, Nice and Zurich, two daily flights to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Venice, three to Athens, four to Dublin, five to Barcelona and Madrid, six to Paris CDG and Rome, and 25 daily flights to London Heathrow.
