Earlier this month, Hilton said that it plans to open over 50 new hotels across 10 of its brands within Saudi Arabia.

That decision, it says, makes Saudi the company’s largest pipeline market in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Hilton currently operates 16 hotels in Saudi Arabia, including Waldorf Astoria Jeddah – Qasr Al Sharq, Conrad Makkah, and Hilton Riyadh Hotel and Residences.

Its development pipeline of more than 50 properties includes the introduction of new brands like LXR Hotels and Resorts, Canopy by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton.

Hilton has also announced a slew of new openings as it works towards the goal of building a portfolio of 75 trading properties across the country.

Hilton’s recent signings in the country include the introduction of its Conrad Hotels and Resorts brand into the Saudi capital of Riyadh. Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley is set to open in 2025.

In partnership with Mashareq Investment, Hilton plans to bring its second Conrad Hotels and Resorts property to Saudi Arabia. The 170-key Conrad Riyadh Laysen Valley will be located opposite the city’s diplomatic quarter at the heart of the Laysen Valley development, one of Riyadh’s most prominent high-end, mixed-use real estate projects.

Hilton will also expand in secondary cities, with the recent signings in Abha where Hilton The Point Residences and Canopy by Hilton The Point are both due to open in 2026.

Both properties in Abha were signed with the Real Estate Development Fund Company. Hilton The Point Residences and Canopy by Hilton The Point will offer a number of facilities and feature a combined total of 250 guest rooms, suites, and residences. It will also feature an indoor pool, fitness centre, spa, multiple dining outlets, and a children´s pool. The two properties are adjacent to a mixed-use urban centre which will include waterparks, entertainment venues, live shows, entertainment-led food and beverage outlets and is located less than ten minutes from Abha International airport.

Hyatt to triple Saudi Arabia portfolio in five years

Another major Hilton property announced for Saudi includes Canopy by Hilton Porta Jeddah which will feature 183 guest rooms and 55 residences and is expected to open its doors in 2028. It will also offer a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and nearly 300 sqm of meeting space.

Other Hilton properties coming up within Saudi include the 200-key Waldorf Astoria Diriyah expected to open in 2028, and the LXR Hotels and Resorts Diriyah which will welcome its first guests in 2026 and will house 80 guest rooms and villas.

Canopy by Hilton Al Khobar Ajdan Waterfront meanwhile will feature 120-guest rooms and is scheduled to open in 2026, while the 164-room DoubleTree by Hilton Jeddah Al Andalus Mall will open next year.

The 178-key DoubleTree by Hilton Jeddah Al Marwah will be located close to to the King Abdulaziz International airport. Hampton by Hilton NEOM Community is expected to open later this year and will feature 201 guest rooms. The Hampton by Hilton Hafr al-Batin will feature 150 guest rooms and is due to open in 2026.

With an aim to accelerate its development in Saudi Arbaia, Hilton recently signed an MoU with the Saudi Tourism Development Fund to develop leisure tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia.

“Saudi Arabia’s rapid evolution continues to provide exciting growth opportunities for Hilton, and we’re working closely with our owners to introduce more hospitality brands in existing and new locations throughout the country. These latest signings are strong examples of our diversified growth in up-and-coming, large-scale developments such as Laysen Valley in Riyadh and our commitment to unlock tourism potential in the secondary cities,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president of Development for the Middle East and Africa at Hilton.
