Sushi and More has successfully completed 12 years in India. Founded by Harry Hakuei Kosato, a Japanese entrepreneur who has recently been honoured as a Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador by the Japanese government, has emerged as a pioneer in the industry, consistently meeting the evolving needs of its thousands of customers and contributing to the growth and promotion of Japanese food and ingredients in India.

Sushi and More first introduced affordable sushi to Indian consumers back in 2011. Their cloud kitchen in Juhu, Mumbai is complimented by shop-in-shop kiosks at The Quorum Club both in Gurgaon and Mumbai, FoodHall, and FreshPik at BKC, Mumbai. The brand has enabled Japanese food lovers to explore and enjoy the flavours of Japan in the comfort of their homes. Harry-san as he is known, concurrently is the Director and India Representative of Kikkoman India. He has been part of the team to launch Kikkoman in India in February 2021.

Kosato’s expertise, combined with his commitment to quality, has established Sushi and More as the largest retailer of quality Japanese cuisine in the home delivery segment, with a chain of pan-India outlets. Looking ahead, Sushi and More plans to expand its footprint across India by opening more stores, an ambitious growth plan of reaching 200 stores within the next decade.

“Our growth strategy aims to meet the increasing demand for authentic affordable Japanese sushi – including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and Jain preparations – aiming to introduce more Indians to the health benefits, uniqueness, and exquisite taste of sushi. Moreover, the hope is that we start to introduce more of the “More” found in the “Sushi and More” brand name. In fact, Japanese cuisine is quite diverse, with many types of dishes other than sushi, with in fact more than a few hundred varieties of Japanese food dishes, which we hope to introduce to India step by step” concluded Kosato.
