Iberia has announced plans to switch back to Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport from the start of June.

The Spanish airline has been operating out of Terminal 3 since July 2022, when it was moved out of T5 along with fellow oneworld carrier American Airlines.

Iberia currently offers multiple daily flights from Heathrow to Madrid, and in a statement the airline said that it would move all Heathrow services into T5 from June 1.

The carrier will utilise check-in counters B10 to B16 at the terminal, with eligible business class and elite Oro and Platino Iberia Plus customers having access to four lounges at T5.

Iberia said that the move would make it easier “for customers to make their connections, leading to a better experience for passengers”.

The carrier also confirmed that American Airlines will continue to operate from Terminal 3.
