Roseate Hotels and Resorts has opened its latest UK property, housed within two newly refurbished Victorian townhouses in Edinburgh’s West End.

The two buildings date back to the 1860s, and over the years have been occupied by professions including merchants, musicians, doctors, distillers and bankers.

More recently they have traded as boutique hotels The Dunstane Houses and Dunstane City Hotel.

Features include 35 rooms and suites, as well as the Dunstane Restaurant and Bar, the Club Prive meeting space for up to 50 guests, and a conservatory garden which can also be used for events.

Roseate Hotels and Resorts is part of India’s Bird Hospitality, and the Edinburgh property is the group’s fourth UK hotel, joining locations in Bath, Reading, and London – the last of these being a rebranding of The Royal Park Hotel on Westbourne Terrace.

There are also three Roseate properties in India – two in Delhi, as well as Roseate Ganges which opened in 2019 in the northern city of Rishikesh.

Commenting on the news Mrs Radha Bhatia, Chairperson, Bird Group India, said:

“The Roseate Edinburgh is a wonderful new gem in our flourishing portfolio of luxury boutique hotels in the United Kingdom.

“We are excited to bring the magic of Scotland, the land of moors, hills and highlands, it’s amazing hospitality, exemplary cuisine and a very bespoke experience to our guests.”
