Marriott Hotels and Resorts has said that it will open its first Marriott Resort in the UAE in Dubai this December.
The Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah beachfront property is spread across 7,000 sqm and will feature 608 guestrooms and suites.
Each has floor-to-ceiling ocean views, private balconies, and full-service in-room amenities.
The resort will include 10 dining venues with influences from Japan, Korea, Peru, Italy, the Levant, and beyond.
Its recreational and wellness facilities include Saray Spa, the Middle Eastern-inspired spa which will offer rejuvenation and relaxation services. Additional facilities will include an ocean-view pool, Kids Club, and Marriott Fitness Centre, M Club.
Ensuring that the property appeals to families, it will offer a bespoke Kids Go All Inclusive Package. The package will allow kids to select from their own specially created menus at Levantera, MYAMI Pool Bar & Lounge, Bal Harbour Beach, Cucina, Señor Pico and Gelateria by Cucina. They will also have the opportunity to avail of unlimited soft beverages, snacks including and ‘grab ‘n’ go healthy treats from select venues throughout the day.
“We look forward to opening the doors of the Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah and introducing the first Marriott Resort in the UAE,” said Gerrit Schmitt, general manager, Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah. “Our guests will enjoy industry-leading business and leisure facilities, incredible dining options, wide-ranging recreational activities and the brand’s thoughtful service that is synonymous in hospitality.”
In September, Marriott International said that it plans to expand its Middle East footprint with the addition of over 20 properties and more than 5,000 rooms across the region over the next 15 months.
In the UAE, Marriott said that it will further expand its portfolio of over 70 properties. It expects to cross the 50-property mark in Dubai alone this year, with upcoming additions of Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, Dubai; Delta Hotels by Marriott Green Community, Dubai; and Four Points by Sheraton Production City, Dubai.
