Hilton has opened its latest Mexican hotel, with the unveiling of a Garden Inn property at Cancun airport.
The 186-room Hilton Garden Inn Cancun Airport is the first hotel to be connected to Cancun International airport, and features an outdoor pool, open-air restaurant and bar, three meetings spaces and a business centre.
Hilton lists over 80 properties in Mexico under 11 of its brands, including 14 Garden Inn hotels across the country.
The Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya recently opened around 100km south of Cancun, and Hilton is also set to open the Waldorf Astoria Cancun later this year.
Announcing the opening of the Garden Inn at Cancun airport, Hilton also provided an update on the growth of the brand in Latin America.
The 76-room Hilton Garden Inn Santiago del Estero opened in Argentina in October 2021, followed by the 148-room Hilton Garden Inn Silao Aeropuerto Bajio in Mexico in December, and the 170-room Hilton Garden Inn Sao Paulo Reboucas in Brazil in the same month.
These will be followed by the Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores in Peru in the second quarter of 2022, which offer 235 rooms and a rooftop pool.
