The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has confirmed it will be participating at next year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai

The business travel and meetings trade organisation will deliver the latest business travel content, research and education to help support the recovery of the business travel sector.

GBTA will contribute to the show’s pan-industry conference programme, which for 2022 will cover aviation, hotels, sports tourism, retail tourism and a special hospitality investment seminar.

ATM 2022, staged under the theme the ‘future of international travel and tourism’, will continue its popular hybrid format with a live and in-person event taking place from May 8-11 and virtually on May 17 and 18.

Organiser RX Global said ATM 2022 would focus on the challenges and opportunities ahead as the industry recovers from the pandemic with the event, encompassing exhibitions, conferences, breakfast briefings, awards, product launches and networking events, playing a major role in supporting this rebound.

Now in its 29th year and working in collaboration with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), ATM will also include destination summits focused on key source markets Saudi, Russia, China and India; Travel Forward, a global event that throws the spotlight on the latest, next generation technology for travel and hospitality; ATM buyer forums and speed networking events; as well as Arival Dubai @ ATM – a dedicated in-destination forum.

Despite global travel and social restrictions, the ATM 2021 live event attracted more than 21,600 attendees from 110 different countries. During the virtual event, 30,790 profiles were registered on the ATM Virtual platform, almost 20,000 face-to-face virtual meetings took place and there were more than 6,600 conference views.

Putting those figures into context, ATM welcomed almost 40,000 people to its 2019 event with representation from 150 countries.
