Hilton has added its first Curio Collection hotel in Cambridge, with the opening of The Fellows House Cambridge in the north of the city.
The property features 131 “apartment-style” rooms, including studios and one-bedroom apartments with kitchens, and Fellows Duplex apartments split across two levels.
Facilities include Folio Bar and Kitchen, serving “plant-based dishes and British comfort classics”, and Sage of Cambridge coffee shop / wine bar. There is also an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, steam room, and the Hawkings Suite boardroom accommodating up to ten guests, providing direct access to The Fellows Garden and The Observatory.
The Fellows House Cambridge joins the Hilton Cambridge City Centre as the group’s second property in the city – Hilton previously operated the Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre, but this hotel is set to reopen as the Graduate Cambridge this summer following renovation works.
Commenting on the news Steve Cassidy, managing director, UK and Ireland, Hilton said:
“We are thrilled to open this unique property in the historic city of Cambridge. It has something for everyone, offering the perfect base to return to after a long day of exploring, working or studying.
“As we all look forward to travelling again, we’re delighted to be giving guests more choice, with 14 new properties opening across the UK this year, extending our world-renowned hospitality.”
Accor recently debuted its Novotel brand in Cambridge, and the Hyatt Centric Cambridge is slated to open this autumn within the University of Cambridge’s Eddington development.
