Yotel will open a 150-room property in the Portuguese coastal city of Porto this week, marking the debut of the brand on the Iberian Peninsula.

Yotel Porto opens on Friday May 28 on Rua de Goncalo in the city centre, and feature 150 cabin with space saving Smart Beds, USB charging points, free wifi, Smart HD TVs and rain showers.

Other facilities include a gym, on-site parking, meeting and co-working space, and the group’s Komyuniti concept, offering a restaurant and bar with outdoor deck.

Guests can download the Yotel app to access a Smart Key “for low-touch cabin entry”, and the hotel also offer two “delivery robots” (Yolinda and Yogiro) which can be programmed to deliver snacks and amenities to rooms.

Portugal was recently placed on the UK government’s “green list”, meaning arrivals from the country do not have to quarantine.

Commenting on the opening Nuno Godinho, hotel manager at Yotel Porto, said:

This month Yotel also opened its fifth UK property, located on Argyle Street opposite Glasgow’s Central Station.
