Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to manage its first property on the Italian island of Sardinia.

Rosewood Porto Cervo will be located on the island’s Costa Smeralda, about 1.5 kilometres south of Porto Cervo town, and will offer 65 rooms (including 26 suites), all of which will enjoy 180-degree views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Facilities will include a bistro and lounge bar, a beach club and pool bar, as well as spa facilities, an outdoor pool, fitness centre and a private pier.

Rosewood Port Cervo will be the group’s third Italian hotel, joining an existing property in Tuscany and a forthcoming hotel in Venice.

Earlier this month Rosewood announced plans for its first Spanish property, with the existing Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid set to rebrand as the Rosewood Villa Magna following the completion of refurbishment works.
