Passengers flying with Air Asia are now allowed to carry two pieces of cabin baggage with a combined weight that does not exceeding a total of 7kg.
Air Asia said the following on its website: “Guests will be able to carry one cabin bag not exceeding the dimensions of 56cm (H) x 36cm (W) x 23cm (D) or maximum linear of 115cm and must fit in the overhead storage compartment in the aircraft cabin.”
The other piece of cabin baggage can be a laptop bag or a small bag that does not exceed the following measurements: 40cm x 30cm x 10cm. This item must be able to fit under the front seat, the carrier said on its website.

The low-cost carrier says those who wish to travel with more than the permitted cabin baggage limit should pre-book their checked baggage allowance prior to the flight. Baggage purchase or upgrade can be done on airasia.com or the AirAsia mobile app up to four hours to departure time, the carrier added.
The airline is also advising passengers to arrive early at the airport – preferably three hours before their departure time to allow for “enough time for all the necessary processes to take place”.
