A room redesign and a new lobby bar are highlights of a major renovation of the Westin Washington National Harbor hotel.
Located on the Potomac River about 20 minutes from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, the 195-room hotel unveiled a series of major upgrades on June 25, including rooms with 55-inch TVs with streaming capabilities, and new bedding, wall coverings, and blackout curtains.
Big-screen TVs also are a highlight of the new lobby bar, which also features “smart seating” with built-in USB and power ports. Likewise, the upgraded business center at the hotel has communal seating with USB and power ports, and wifi connectivity has been improved.

The hotel’s indoor pool also has been redesigned, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre has been added, according to a hotel press release.
The Westin has 2,200 square feet of meeting and event space and is located at National Harbor, an entertainment and dining district on the Potomac River in the Maryland suburbs of the U.S. capital.
The hotel’s restaurant, Sauciety, overlooks the river, and entertainment options at National Harbor include gondola rides on the Potomac and the Capital Wheel, a 54.9 metre Ferris wheel at the end of an amusement pier offering views of the Washington Monument and other DC landmarks.
