AirAsia India is to start daily direct flight between Mumbai and Kolkata. This is the airline’s second destination from Mumbai — Earlier this year, AirAsia India commenced flight operations between Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The Mumbai-Kolkata flight service will start on April 15, 2019.

The launch of this new service further boosts AirAsia’s rampant expansion plans— The airline had added eight more flights to its network.
Sunil Bhaskaran, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia India, said “We recently introduced the first connection between Bengaluru and Mumbai and are proud to launch this new connection between Mumbai and Kolkata.
“Kolkata is a key market for AirAsia and this flight will strengthen our operations in East. This new route is a manifestation of our future growth plan in these key and important business markets.”
Currently, AirAsia India has a fleet of 20 aircraft covering 19 destinations across the country.
