AirAsia India has added Mumbai to its network. Starting from January 15, the low-cost carrier will be operating daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Mumbai.

The airline has announced an introductory fare starting at ₹1599. This is valid for bookings until January 6.

Sunil Bhaskaran, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia India, said, “We are pleased to make the much-awaited announcement of adding Mumbai to our network.

“This is a great way to end 2018, and in line with our ultimate vision is to focus on revolutionizing air travel in the markets that we operate in. We’re also happy to welcome our 20th Airbus A320 aircraft to our fleet.”

Interestingly, this is AirAsia group’s third entry into the Mumbai market after discontinuing services in 2012 by AirAsia Berhad, and by Indonesian AirAsia X in April last year.

Currently, AirAsia has a fleet of 19 aircraft covering 19 destinations across India. airasia.com
