This November, Soho House & Co will be opening its first house in Mumbai. Set up in a 11-storey building in Juhu, Soho House Mumbai offers 38 bedrooms, a floor of members’ space, gym, rooftop pool, and a 34-seat screening room.

Led by founder and CEO Nick Jones, and director of Soho House Design, Linda Boronkay, the architecture of the house is inspired by the Indian culture. The interiors of each floor have colourful block printed fabrics from Rajasthan, with locally sourced furniture and Indian antiques.

Each of the 38 bedrooms have been thoughtfully designed with elements like eco-friendly sisal carpet flooring, antique timber and bone inlay furniture, and lampshades created from antique sari fabrics.

Its F&B outlets that are open to the public include Cecconi’s Mumbai, a modern classic restaurant serving Northern Italian dishes including spaghetti lobster, crab ravioli and meatballs; and The Allis a lounge and café serving hot drinks, juices and small bites.

Members can enjoy the finest cocktails and spirits at the rooftop bar and restaurant. The eight floor which is the main members space also has a bar in the centre. It is adorned with antique mirrors, glass wall lights and leather bar stalls. The outdoor balconies have more seating areas offering an uninterrupted view of the sea and the city on either side.

Soho House Mumbai has House Gym that has Technogym and Watsons equipment, a group fitness studio, steam rooms, laundry facilities, an outdoor workout space, and a House Press juice bar. The property also houses a multipurpose event room called the Paisley room that accommodates up to 70 guests.

Art enthusiasts will be happy to know that the Soho House Mumbai art collection is made up of over 200 works. The collection will be on display throughout the house including in the bedrooms.

The room can be booked by people who are not necessarily members but would like to experience the house. Price range starts from ₹ 13,000 to ₹ 41,000 per night across Small/Medium/Big rooms and Playrooms (suites). Once booked, guests can get access to all the members’ spaces and events during the stay.

Every House membership provides access to all of Soho House around the world except for Little Beach House Malibu – which requires an additional Malibu Plus membership.
