Hilton has announced a new property under its Hilton Hotels and Resorts brand for the Colombian capital Bogota.

Scheduled to open in 2018, the 414-room Hilton Bogota Corferias will be located next to the city’s existing Corferias convention and exhibition centre, as well as the forthcoming Agora Bogota International Convention Centre.

The property will also be situated around ten minutes from Bogota’s main El Dorado International Airport.

Commenting on the signing Shawn Mcateer, vice president, global brand management, full-service hotels, Hilton said:

“Hilton is committed to expanding our footprint in Latin America and welcoming guests across the region. This hotel in Corferias is a perfect complement to our existing portfolio in Colombia and will no doubt be a welcome addition for the meetings and conventions market.”

Hilton currently operates 13 hotels across Colombia, with a further ten under development.

Within Bogota the group’s current portfolio includes the Hilton Bogota which opened in 2011 in the city’s financial district, as well as Doubletree, Hampton and Embassy Suites properties.
