Bristol Airport opens £8m passenger walkway

1 Jun 2010 by BusinessTraveller
Bristol airport has unveiled a 450-metre walkway which will enable passengers to walk to and from aircraft instead of being driven by bus. The £8 million project took 12 months to complete, and now connects the terminal building to eight new pre-boarding zones. The unveiling of the walkway comes as Bristol airport celebrated the tenth anniversary of its terminal building earlier this year, and is expected to handle its 50 millionth passenger by the end of this year. Other recent improvements include the opening of a new Duty Free store in April, and a £2 million investment project to improve transport at the airport, including the Flyer bus service.
