Lufthansa to serve Colombian capital

1 Jun 2010 by BusinessTraveller

Lufthansa is to launch a five-times weekly service from Frankfurt to Bogota at the end of October, a route it has not served since 2002.

The carrier will recommence flights on October 31, using Airbus A340 aircraft configured for 8 seats in first class, 60 in business, and 238 in economy.

Flight LH542 will depart Frankfurt at 1330 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving in Bogota at 1925. The return leg LH543 will leave the Colombian capital at 2145, landing back into Frankfurt at 1445 the next day.

The service will add to Lufthansa’s existing routes from Frankfurt to the South American cities of Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Caracas. The carrier says it is offering return economy fares on the route starting from €799.
