Courtyard by Marriott debuts in New York’s SoHo

Marriott has opened a Courtyard by Marriott in New York’s trendy SoHo area, its first in a neighbourhood known for its abundance of creative talent. The newly-built hotel is aimed at business travellers with free wifi in the lobby, “media pods” for quick meetings and Starbucks coffee. The lobby also has a gym, a meeting room with space for eight people and large interactive “GoBoard” that displays information about the local area and its arty attractions. The hotel has 36 double rooms and one king suite spread across 20 floors, with views of the Hudson River from the top three levels. All rooms have a refrigerator, coffee station, safes and free wifi internet. Other hotel facilities include a gym in the lobby, a washer/dryer, a 24-hour shop and wine bar serving light snacks.
