Marriott’s St Pancras Renaissance taking reservations from March

24 Jan 2011 by BusinessTraveller
The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London is now taking reservations from March 14, ahead of its official opening on May 5. Marriott announced last September that the hotel would stage its grand opening on May 5, exactly 138 years after the original Midland Grand Hotel opened on the site. But Marriott’s website now states that the hotel is opening in March, and a quick search in the online reservations system shows that rooms are available from Monday March 14. The website also states that introductory rates during March and April are on offer at a discount of 25 per cent, with a Barlow room available at £188, and a Barlow King at £225. Marriott announced it would be taking over the historic High Victorian Gothic property as far back as 2006. The groups says that the £150 million renovation project has kept many of the original features including the “Ladies Smoking Room” and grand staircase, as well as adding a 120,000 square foot extension to the original building. The hotel represents the completion of the regeneration of St Pancras International station, which reopened in late 2007.
