Qatar rosters 777 aircraft onto London route

Qatar Airways has started operating one of its daily London-Doha flights with a Boeing 777-200LR, meaning newer seating but the loss of first class on the flight.

The carrier’s 777-200LR aircraft features fully flat beds in business, as opposed to the angled lie-flat product available on the Airbus A340-600 previously serving this route, but it does mean Qatar Airways is moving from a three-class economy, business and first offering on the A340, to a two-class economy and business offering on the B777.

The flight in question is QR012, departing London Heathrow at 1505 daily, arriving into Doha at 2350, with convenient connections then available to Asia Pacific destinations, including a 45-minute connection to Qatar’s Melbourne service.

Return flight QR011 departs Doha at 0750, landing back in London at 1315. Again this flight allows for connections from the carrier’s Middle Eastern and Indian network flying into Doha.

Qatar Airways serves the London to Doha route four-times daily, along with daily flights into London Gatwick and Manchester. Aside from the flights detailed above, the UK routes are served by A330 and A340 aircraft.

Surprise Surprise,
