All Nippon Airways expands inflight wifi

9 Oct 2014 by Clement Huang

All Nippon Airways (ANA) is expanding the availability of its inflight wifi services across its international network as well as introducing it on certain domestic routes.

With effect from April 2015, “ANA Wi-Fi Service” will be introduced to 30 additional aircraft operating on international routes. This will increase the number of aircraft offering the service on international flights to approximately 60, including the airline’s B787-8, B787-9 and B777-300ER aircraft.

Meanwhile, approximately one hundred aircraft that fly domestically within Japan will be fitted with the service too, including the B787-8, B787-9, B777-200 and B777-300.

The Japanese carrier has also stated that it will ensure all subsequent aircraft added to the fleet will be wifi-enabled, with the ultimate aim of offering the service across its entire international fleet in the future.
