Members of Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich loyalty programme will be pleased to learn that the airline is once again offering its year-end redemption offer.
The flag carrier of Malaysia is slashing the amount of miles required for award ticket redemptions by up to 50 per cent on selected destinations.
This limited time promotion is valid for bookings until October 15, while the travel period will last until 15 December 2014. Members will however still have to cough up the full cost of airport tax and any applicable surcharges.
So how good is the deal? Well, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Frankfurt, Istanbul and Paris for instance are currently available for 30 per cent fewer miles, meaning a return business class fare (on travel class “D”) now costs 77,000 miles, down from 110,000.
Meanwhile, several Australian destinations such as Darwin and Adelaide are also seeing a reduction of miles by 50 per cent, with a return business class fare now costing 27,500 miles, as opposed to 45,000.
