Business hotel East, Hong Kong has installed Apple TV in selected guestrooms.
The new gadget complements the other technology already in place at the hotel, such as high-definition LCD TVs, iPod Touch and complimentary wifi throughout.
Using an iTunes account, guests can access an extensive library of movies and TV shows via Apple TV. They can also connect to the apps available on the system, including MLB.TV for sport, WSJ Live for news and Youtube for shared videos.
Apple TV additionally features the new iTunes Radio function, which is a free, ad-supported service that enables guests to stream music content based on their individual taste. This feature is only available to guests with a US iTunes account.
The new device also supports Apple’s Airplay feature, which enables users to play videos, view photos and enjoy music from any iOS device from the in-room TV.
